Three-section marine grade HF antenna with power handling of up to 1000 watts and centre frequency of around 10 MHz, this antenna offering outstanding HF performer when used with a suitable antenna tuner unit (ATU) like the Icom AT-141.

DSC Watch Antenna

The Icom M801 and M802 require 2 antennas. The main antenna is connected via the AT-141 antenna tuner unit and either the back-stay of a yacht or a whip antenna over 4.9 metres long can be used. Digital Selective Calling (DSC) signals are received via a second antenna. A whip antenna longer then 2 metres should be used as a DSC watch antenna.

NOTE: DSC watch antennas are passive antenna which require NO power.
Active antennas are shorter in length and do require power and does not comply with SOLAS regulations.
A VHF antenna is not suitable as a HF DSC watch antenna.

Ground DC isolation bridgeDC Bridge
Grounding isolation bridge is required to stop or reduce electrolysis on boats that have a negative floating DC supply, e.g. negative is not connected to salt water.
The bridge blocks DC currents going to salt water via the ground plate. The bridge goes between the ground bolt on the antenna tuner (ATU) and the copper strip.
Inside the box are four 2200pF 6Kvolt capacitors. giving a total capacitance of 8800pf, which are connect to the two 5M bolts.

One bolt should go to ground the other to the ATU.

Easy to fit RF ferrite core blocks.
Position it on the cable and just snap the two halves of the block together.
Can be reused. Useful for preventing RF currents flowing back onto transceiver chassis, pactor modem, computer etc.
