ICOM M801E v M802

Although the M801E and M802 look the same that is where the difference finishes.

The M801 is housed in a more robust water resistant housing with heavy duty connectors, ideal for the marine environment - M802 is not.
The M801 isolated from the battery supply by a built in DC to DC converter - The M802 is connected directly to the batteries.
By using the latest DSP technology, the M801E has better receiver performance.
The M801E is a fully complaint class 'E' DSC unit offering a full range of DSC features compared with the M802 limited range of DSC functions.
The M801E is CE & GMDSS approved - The M802 is not.

Please Note: Icom M802 should not be fitted to European flagged vessels. European vessels see M801E.
